By establishing Your Life's Word in early 2006 I hoped to make the course accessible. And so it turned out. Participants travelled from as far as Norfolk, Kent and Hertfordshire. As well as the facilities offered by St Bride Foundation (famous for its typography and printing reference library) there is the ambience of nearby Fleet Street. One participant found the local pubs congenial places in which to write before the class. Others decided on the best café in which to meet up afterwards.
One unexpected outcome has been that some people have wanted to return for a second series of classes. The course suited their ambitions because it offered a structure for writing more on a manuscript already in progress.
The next series of Your Life's Word will extend these writing opportunities, as well as opening up perspectives for anyone starting out.
